Robinwood Heart Center was established in March 2006. We serve patients in the tri-state area (Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia). For each patient, we strive to provide the most appropriate use of the technologies available for the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular disorders. We focus on maximizing excellent outcomes and quality of life.
Dr. Padder is the founding member of the practice. He attended medical school at the University of Kashmir. He completed his residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center of Boston (Tufts University). He completed cardiology fellowships at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD and Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He attended the University at Alabama-Birmingham for his interventional cardiology fellowship. Dr. Padder is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology, and has a special interest in coronary and peripheral angioplasty.
Dr. Zirvi received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania-Hahnemann School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He completed his cardiology training and interventional cardiology training at the Lankenau Hospital (Thomas Jefferson University System) in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Zirvi is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. He has a special interest in coronary and peripheral angioplasty.
Dr. Selonick received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency also at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed her cardiology fellowship from the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. Dr. Selonick is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. Her special interest is in women’s cardiovascular health.
Dr. El-Sherif received his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He completed his cardiology fellowship from Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. El-Sherif is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology. He has a special interest in heart failure management and cardiomyopathy.
Julie Cathor received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1999. After a few years of teaching science in both a juvenile detention facility and the Maryland public school system, Julie furthered her education and medical training at Touro College School of Health Sciences in Bayshore, New York. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies and began her career at Brunswick Family Practice in Maryland in 2003, immediately following her graduation and national board certification. She joined Robinwood Medical Center in October 2006. Her most recent academic accomplishment is an Advanced Certification in Hypnotherapy. As a licensed Physician Assistant in the state of Maryland, Julie has the ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients within the scope of the supervising cardiologist and has full prescriptive authority. She also maintains an updated Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Dr. Hornbaker received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, VA. He received his cardiology fellowship from Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
Dr. Carlos received his medical degree and completed his internal medicine residency at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He completed his cardiology training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI and a fellowship in cardiac and peripheral interventions at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Houma, LA. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease. His interest is in the prevention of cardiovascular disease and the long term care of the cardiac patient
